This Chorizo Seasoning mix is built around ancho chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic, onion, oregano, and warm spices for a bold, savory blend inspired by classic chorizo-style flavor. It is smoky, earthy, gently spicy, and rounded with just enough maple sugar to balance the chili and spice.
Use one packet with 1 lb of ground pork, beef, turkey, chicken, beans, lentils, tofu, mushrooms, or potatoes. Add a splash of vinegar while cooking for a more traditional chorizo-style tang, or keep it simple with water or broth for an easy weeknight filling.
It works beautifully for tacos, breakfast hash, burrito bowls, nachos, eggs, stuffed peppers, soups, and skillet meals. Compared with the standard Taco Seasoning Mix, this blend is deeper, smokier, warmer, and more chili-forward.
